BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES
At GBMS, we offer comprehensive behavioral health services, providing convenient access to medication management and virtual therapy options. Our services encompass a range of specialized offerings, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and behavioral health symptoms. We also provide individual and family counseling sessions, ensuring personalized care for children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, our dedicated team offers case management services to support clients in managing their behavioral health needs. With our telehealth services, patients can conveniently receive the care they need from the comfort of their own homes, promoting accessibility, flexibility, and continuity of care.
Psychiatric Evaluations: Our behavioral health clinicians’ complete comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions. Evaluations of presenting symptoms, historical presentations, and other contributing factors are used to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
Individual, Family, and Group Counseling: Our therapists engage with our patients, using evidence-based therapy modalities to explore and address psychological and emotional challenges, promoting personal growth and mental well-being.
Medication Management: Our team of Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners offer medication management services, which includes evaluation of appropriate diagnosis, medication prescription, monitoring, and adjustment of psychotropic medications to effectively manage and treat mental health conditions.
Substance Abuse Assessment, Education, and Treatment: Our clinicians are able to assist in the identification of substance use disorders through assessments and screenings. They are then able to help implement a personalized treatment plan aimed at promoting recovery, reducing harm, and supporting long term sobriety.
Case Management: Behavioral health support via case management involves the coordination and facilitation of comprehensive services and resources to support individuals with mental health or substance abuse disorders. This ensures their access to necessary care, promotes recovery and overall well-being.
Given telehealth capabilities, The Behavioral Health Department is able to support patients at all GBMS locations.
